How do you Know If you can trust information on the Internet? What makes it good info? What makes it bad?

Well first off you should always be mindful of logic and understanding. If the information about history, at a site with this at the beginning, http://. That is a good sign it is reliable. But say the information is about recent events and weird crazy stuff. Well what you should do before you side if it is real or not is to do a little research.
 For an example I want to look up some information about big foot. I google it or some other search engine and find lots of sources. Now here is where some people get confused. Some of the sites are forums or personal blogs and such about big foot. A lot of people will fall for these sites as good information for their basis of their opinion. These sites are not good information sites. There only thoughts of other people not really based on facts. 
So what you should look for is any high renowned organization or something like that have posted any information about big foot. But the question was if anyone could tell form bad information and good. Lets recap, a easy way to find a good sign is legit is to look in the site address for a legit phrase of symbols. Second, you have to have a common sense, keep logic with you, come on people be smart and don't be so stupid and/or gulable. Finally you should keep in mind that the things you are looking for can be a manget for fiction facts. Such as big foot, the loctness monster and such thing of the fictional creatures that has yet to be proven to exist.
